A wand cleans a line, not a surface
A zero or fifteen degree tip cuts a narrow path. Cleaning a whole driveway that way means hundreds of passes and hundreds of chances for the overlap to show. It always shows.
Home / Services / Pressure washing
Driveways, walkways, patios, pool decks and pavers, run with a flat surface cleaner instead of a wand. Even finish, edge to edge. Decks and fences at a pressure the boards can actually take.
Rather not talk? Text a photo of the driveway and we'll price it from that.
You have seen a driveway cleaned in overlapping arcs, lighter where the tip passed and darker between. That is not bad luck, it is the wrong tool.

Two spinning jets under a shroud sweep a fixed band at a consistent distance and speed. The finish is uniform because every square inch got the same treatment.
Most of what is on concrete is organic — algae, tannin, mildew. A pretreat that kills it means far less pressure is needed, which means less etching of the surface.
High pressure pulls jointing sand out. If nobody re-sweeps it, the pavers start shifting and weeds come up through the joints within a season.
If your driveway already has stripes from a previous cleaning, say so. Evening those out is a different job and we will price it honestly.
Price my drivewayBoth of these were run with a flat surface cleaner. Look at the edges — no wand arcs, no lighter stripes where a pass overlapped.

Some of this lifts in one pass. Some needs a specific chemistry. And some of it is permanent, which you deserve to hear before you pay.
We own both methods, so we have no reason to sell you the wrong one. Pressure is for horizontal, hard, walkable surfaces. That is it.
Pressure strips shingle granules and voids most manufacturer warranties. Roofs get a chemical treatment at no pressure. See roof washing.
A pressure tip drives water behind vinyl and into window frames, and lifts old paint off wood. Siding gets a soft wash at roughly garden-hose pressure. See house washing.
Pressure at a seal or a screen does damage and leaves spots anyway. Glass gets pure water and a pole. See window cleaning.
Weathered decking and cedar fencing furs up and gouges under too much pressure. Those get a wood-safe cleaner and a much lower setting, and sometimes the honest answer is that the boards are past cleaning.
Antonio and Jackson both had driveways done. Patricia had the house power washed on the same visit as her windows.
I had Stratus Softwash pressure wash my driveway, and I’m really happy with the results. They did a great job getting everything cleaned up and making the driveway look fresh again. The work was done quickly, professionally, and they were easy to deal with. Definitely recommend them if you need your driveway cleaned!
Stratus Softwash did an amazing job cleaning and washing my driveway! It looks absolutely incredible and came out better than I expected. My windows are now spotless! Best power washing company in New Jersey, very helpful and extremely friendly service.
These fellas did a very good job on my windows, and they also power washed my house. All three of them were very pleasant to work with. Very nice personalities
Algae on concrete is a slip risk before it's an eyesore, and shaded hardscape gets worse fast. Quotes take about ten minutes.
Including where we work and what else we clean, since most people book two things at once.
Priced by square footage and by what's on the surface. A clean-ish driveway that gets done every year is a different job from ten years of tannin and rust. You get a flat number before we book, not an hourly rate that grows.
Power washing means the water is heated. Heat helps on grease, oil and gum. For most residential concrete and pavers it isn't necessary, and plenty of companies use the words interchangeably regardless of what's on the truck.
Not at the pressure and distance a surface cleaner works at. Damage comes from holding a narrow tip close to one spot, which is exactly what a surface cleaner prevents. On pavers the risk is sand loss, which is why we re-sweep.
On pavers, sealing after a clean does help — it locks the sand and slows staining. On plain concrete it's optional and often not worth it. Either way it's a separate job with its own cure time, not something to bolt onto the same afternoon.
Most driveways and patios want it every one to two years. Shaded hardscape and anything under trees closer to annually, mostly because algae makes it slippery rather than because it looks bad.
No. We need gate access, a working outside tap, and the cars moved off whatever we're cleaning. Anything you'd rather not get soaked should come off the patio the night before. Photos go over when we pack up.
Hardscape work runs on tighter margins than a house wash, so the radius is a little smaller. These are the towns we cover routinely.

Cape May and Atlantic counties
Just outside? Still ask, especially if there's more than one surface or a neighbour who'd book alongside you. Send the address and we'll confirm.
Both, and they're different methods. Anything you walk on gets pressure. Anything you look at gets a soft wash. Booking them together is the cheapest way to buy either.
Driveway plus house wash is the pairing that makes the biggest visual difference for the money.
