Why screens and tracks matter
They’re the part of a window that gets skipped, and the part you notice a week later.
- Screens hold the dirt.Pollen, dust and salt collect in the mesh and wash back onto the glass in the next rain. Cleaning glass without the screens is half a job.
- Tracks fill up.Window and sliding door tracks collect sand, leaves, dead bugs and grit that make them stick and grind.
- Drainage gets blocked.Sliders and many replacement windows have small drainage holes in the track. When they clog, water sits in the frame instead of draining out.
- They’re what you touch.You open windows by the sash and walk over slider tracks every day. That’s where clean actually shows.

Done during your window cleaning, so the screens go back onto clean glass.
Wash and rinse
Each screen is brushed and washed to lift dirt out of the mesh, then rinsed and left to dry.
Detail the tracks
Tracks, sills and slider channels are vacuumed, scrubbed and wiped out by hand, and drainage holes are cleared.
Back in
Screens go back onto freshly cleaned glass. Torn mesh or bent frames get pointed out so you know before the season.

Are screens and tracks included in a window cleaning?
Sills and tracks are cleaned on every standard visit. Screen washing is priced separately — add it when you book and it’s done during the same visit.
How much does screen cleaning cost?
It’s priced by the screen, alongside your window quote. Send the address and a rough count and we’ll include it.
Can you clean screens without cleaning the windows?
It works best together, because clean screens go back onto clean glass. Ask if you only need one or the other.
Do you repair torn screens?
We’ll point out torn mesh and bent frames while we have them out, so you can get them repaired before you need them.
Do you clean sliding door tracks?
Yes. Slider tracks are vacuumed, scrubbed and wiped out, and their drainage holes cleared.
